Man this is a lot of rain.
That’s a lot don’t get me wrong, but 3-4” hr rainfall rates aren’t really that crazy. I’ve had that in half an hour before.

Once this passes is this it for the rest if the day? Or are we expecting more to develop later in the day and tonight?
While not nearly as strong as the derecheo. These storms are powerful, winds have been constantly gusting to 60 mph with power flashes galore.

A second complex of thunderstorms will likely develop over portions of central Texas and move into SE TX late tonight into early Wednesday. It is unclear how this complex will evolve as much of its evolution and severe threat will be determine with the incoming weather this afternoon. Should thunderstorms this afternoon become widespread the air mass will become “worked over” and tonight’s activity may weaken as it moves into the area. This seems to be recent indications in the high resolution guidance. Again not a lot confidence in this part of the forecast.brazoriatx wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 1:40 pm Once this passes is this it for the rest if the day? 12z Euro is even more bullish with rain opportunities for se texas over the next 10 days, widespread 4-6 inches, isolated 8+ in some areas locally!
