Picked up a nice 1.25” up here, a bit more than most of the maps showed (.8”).

Reed Timmer has decided to pay us a visit on Monday.

I can’t tell you the last time I watched the news or read a major outlets website. They are a clown circus of poor journalism, dramatic misleading headlines and opinion laced dichotomies.

Stop feeding the idiocy that is mass media and think. Don’t get me started on social media. I refuse to support Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or anything of the sorts.

Like I said with the 1899 reference earlier, I was meant for a much earlier time. Today is straight running zombie land and a hysteria whipped mass led by the propaganda machines.

It’s WxBell - AKA Joe Bastardi.

Is anyone surprised by the hype?

The only thing that surprises me is that KPRC published it. I suspect this was not reviewed and endorsed by the Met Department/Frank Billingsly. Probably written by a “journalist” in NYC and just pushed to the website by “corporate”…

Definitely looking like a pipe buster. I just wonder how long it’ll stick around.

All of the social media and MSM as propaganda machines was predicted by The Newsroom in Season 1 over 10 years ago.

After the Fairness Doctrine was abandoned in the mid-80s, the rush to the bottom was on. Click-bait and sleaze. However, politicians are taking advantage and using the meta media universe from X to WhatsApp in Spanish to Chines religious cult media/disinformation for propaganda megaphones.

This was exactly the reason commercial TV and media were allowed 23 hours when they were free to program. But there was 1 hour set aside for the Public Good.

My weather station never lies. ;) We try our best in the laboratory to uncover new facts.

Oh, with a quick calculation of 3.4 murders/100,000 in Montana, I calculated that probably 90% take place on or by the Dutton Ranch.

It's a long-term dynamic progression with increasing cold.

if the snowpack develops to fruition, things could get interesting.

I’m not really one to debate symptoms, but I hear what you’re saying. I’m talking about a time before the birth of the Leviathan state created by Wilson and FDR where there wasn’t a “need” (there never was since) for a bureaucratic largesse with toxic three letters and misnomers for “societal good”.

The use, misuse or no use of the Fairness Doctrine is a feature, not a bug of a far larger problem, but this is a conversation over many drinks and that conversation includes Meteorology and College Sports too.

Yes, Montana on the side of the mountain is the long game when the kids are out of school. As for now, we will enjoy parenting in rural Texas.

My plan is Montana then Kansas City (work) over the next two weeks. That should give me ample experience with this airmass and stormy pattern at different latitudes.

Looking forward to it.

Yeah it was basically just model porn for me. I’m curious about this 20-30th timeframe you were so bullish on a few days ago.
