Looks like my house got 1.1" this morning! Finally a little relief.
So far everything in my immediate vicinity wants to go poof. Hoping the main blob from the south holds together but the poofy garbage all around is tainting the local atmosphere here already.
Don’t want to jinx it but the line to my south has really filled-in on its eastern flank in the last few minutes

The event is a failure if Hobby Airport doesn't get hit.
Mostly light rain here. The heavy stuff skipped around me. At least it’s still raining for now.

Its getting stormy out there.
About half an inch with sprinkles tapering off for now.
Heavy rain moving into the I-10 corridor.
This event was a total bust/fail. While I got multiple rounds of storms at my home around Richmond (Ft. Bend), the problem is that the official central city airport, Hobby, only has ~1 inch so far, give or take a few hundredths ... while Bush Airport right now has ~2 inches and counting.
It just defies logic, because Hobby is supposed to be wetter than Bush Airport. And since Hobby is the official central city airport, all it will officially reflect, despite all the moisture and surgences, is just a measly inch. Ergo, this event was a total failure.

Ergo, not a failure. A system failure would be the vast majority getting very little. That didn’t happen in HGX.

Agreed, ordinarily.
