18z GFS Hinting at some tropical mischief in the NW Caribbean around the 23rd-25th time frame, could be something their to watch or could just be the typical GFS spinning up phantom systems, will see

Well, I doubt they have any measure of accuracy yet. This system of prediction is the first time CSU has used it apparently. I guess we'll find out.Cromagnum wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 5:16 pmYawn. Where is the table that shows how accurate predictions like this are?DoctorMu wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 5:10 pm55% chance of a named storm in Galveston. 33% chance of a hurricane. Serious prog.captainbarbossa19 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 9:33 pm So according to CSU's probability table of tropical cyclone impacts, Matagorda County has a 53% chance of seeing a tropical cyclone impact this year. The normal chance is 32%. It also has a 31% chance of seeing a hurricane impact when the normal chance is 17%.

GBinGrimes thats pretty rude and uncalled for dude
Well and the quote wasn’t even quoted correctly. The irony.
Judging by the time, tone, and randomness of the post, I’m gonna guess alcohol was involved.
GBin may have gotten some rain last night. If we had gotten more than 5 drops, I may have drunk posted too!

I'm pretty sure I haven't had a measurable amount of rain this month yet. Last year in June, I want to say I had about 15 inches. Sick of this weather pattern.
I have .18” from on or about the 1st of the month. Got nothing yesterday but a Lucy.captainbarbossa19 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 1:14 pm I'm pretty sure I haven't had a measurable amount of rain this month yet. Last year in June, I want to say I had about 15 inches. Sick of this weather pattern.
I’m sick of it too. I could deal with the heat a lot better if we didn’t have to water constantly too. My new landscaping is holding up well but I’m watering with a rain-shower wand every single day to keep it that way!!

Same for me. I kept rumbling around me but it never rained much. The good news is that next summer is likely going to be much wetter since we should finally be out of this blasted La Nina cycle.jasons2k wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 1:37 pmI have .18” from on or about the 1st of the month. No kidding.. I spend 45 min to an hour outside watering my plants and garden due to this ridiculous pattern. It’s very old already.jasons2k wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 1:37 pmI have .18” from on or about the 1st of the month. Yeah. I've had less than 10 inches of rain at my house for all of 2022 so far. All the fences in my neighborhood are leaned over because there are cracks 2 inches across all the way down them. I'm just waiting for the big tree kill off like 2011 brought us.jasons2k wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 1:37 pmI have .18” from on or about the 1st of the month. That sounds about what I've had. I may be a little closer to 10, but that is absolutely pathetic, especially since I am about 100 miles east of you. 2011 gave about 30 inches of rain for me, and unless we get some sort of TC or tropical moisture later, I am thinking 2022 could possibly be lower.Cpv17 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 3:54 pmI’ve had 8.25” so far for all of 2022.Cromagnum wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 3:23 pmYeah. In 2011 I had 10” the whole year.captainbarbossa19 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 4:03 pmThat sounds about what I've had. That would mean you would have to get less than 2 inches of rain from now until December to tie or break the record. At least that is highly unlikely. I think even 2011 produced more rain in a 6 month span.Cpv17 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 5:29 pmIn 2011 I had 10” the whole year.captainbarbossa19 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 4:03 pmThat sounds about what I've had. What a tease by the 18z GFS, shows a wet pattern starting aftwr hour 240
GFS gets bored after 240 h. The fantasy generator creates a mythical hurricane, FROPA, cutoff low...Stratton20 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 5:55 pm What a tease by the 18z GFS, shows a wet pattern starting aftwr hour 240

The Euro has to be on crack. It has high temperatures next weekend anywhere from 105 to 115°across southeast TX.
TWC app shows 40% today. That would be a great Father’s Day present. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.
