All I know is I already have sections of lawn trying to die from lack of rain. Having to drag sprinklers around in April is some BS.

I dont really see any appreciable rain chances in the next 10 days, looking like a dry month ahead of us

The two peaks in rain for CLL are May and October. Sometimes early June. There's still a chance, but the energy and Jet stream are north, and the sea breeze often gives up the ghost past Navasota.captainbarbossa19 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 13, 2022 1:58 pmIt's always miserable in the summer. Haha! As far as the rain pattern, it's still too early. Remember, last spring was dry like this until about late-April to early May.

Our sprinkler system is allegedly being fixed tomorrow. Grass is beginning to dessicate and tank. I hate running them this early.

Ever since i was a little kid i remember thinking April showers don't bring May flowers to SE Texas. May and June have always been wetter while April was usually dry. There's always exceptions but this seems to be the norm sadly. I really thought that Cap was going to bust yesterday.

A few towering cumulus along the boundary, but so close and nothing really punching through!

Now TWC weather app shows 40% tomorrow and 50% Sunday.
NWS HGX website is down so I don’t know what they are thinking.
Watering today regardless. Late spring pattern is here we may not see 50’s again until September or October. Probably lots of capping between now and June.

Felt good this morning and in the past hour or so it feels like the humidity has came back. Just checked and I’m getting east winds now. That sure didn’t last long.

Definitely appears the next 10-12 days I dont see much more thab maybe some scattered storm chances , dont see anything that widespread in the foreseeable future, will take anything we can get though because in a few months its going to be like a frying pan here

Best rain chance looks to be late next week.

I hope next spring is neutral or El Niño. Three springs in a row of La Niña is too many.

Typhoon Malakas may enhance the storm chances across the Central & Southern Plains next week, it's generally heading towards us by recurving to the NE towards the Jet Stream

The video I saw was probably before full development.
Looks like a bust here tomorrow and Saturday.
It's been a Chamber of Commerce day in CLL. Enjoying the mid, dry weather while it last. We could use cool, wet weather, but that's not probably happening until October.

I definitely agree with that! I prefer enough rain to support lots of flowers and blooms!captainbarbossa19 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 5:18 pm I hope next spring is neutral or El Niño. Three springs in a row of La Niña is too many.
