Im not like that (Tropikal” troll dude in the prior forums haha, just a fan of winter/ wintry precip kinda weather!
Well you already annoyed me by getting the first batch of frozen precipitation a week or so ago..soooooo there's that but you're good man 😆 lol
Yeah, the models flipped which side of Hwy 1*5 the action would be. It was very light though.

12z CMC digs the wintry mischief a little deeper. We shall see.

Jason, I hope you get your rain today! The 2-3 inches are up here in CLL. Could be more. It's an MCV mess up here! ;)

If that is ice accumulation of the second map, ice is dangerous but layers of ice on top of ice is dangerous as heck

Even a glaze of ice would cause issues

Sung to this Beatles Song:

https://youtu.be/OSJIVMp1SKg

My baby says she's trav'ling on the Highway 1*5
I said move over honey I'm traveling on that line
I said move over once, move over twice
Come on baby give me snow, not ice.
I said I'm trav'ling on the Highway 1*5

I begged her not to go and I begged her on my bended knees,
Models only fooling around, Models fooling around with me.
I said Euro over once, UKMet over twice
Come on baby give me snow, not ice.
I said I'm trav'ling on the Highway 1*5

I got my Mac, logged into Weather Nation
sRainman says you've got the wrong location
I got my Mac, run right home
Then I find I've read the models wrong

Well I said I'm trav'ling on the Highway 1*5
I said move over honey I'm traveling on that line
I said move over once, move over twice
Come on baby give me snow, not ice.
I said I'm trav'ling on the Highway 1 Oh
I said I'm trav'ling on the Highway 1 Oh
I said I'm trav'ling on the Highway 1*5

Thats the cutoff low ejecting that produces the snow on the 12Z EURO.Still a lot of questions on how that cutoff low will behave as models are not showing consistency yet on the trough placement and area of ejection. All models show it they just differ on how it "behaves" over the weekend.

Haha that's great!!!

Yes, I am getting a nice soaking rain here today. Hoping for the 2" range. I see a generous amount of lightning to the west of us all, pushing this way.

It's gonna be a wild ride later this week and into the weekend. I've already warned my family north of here to stock-up.

Yeah, we've had a bit of January thunder. It startled me at first. There's another roll of thunder. lol

Been getting entrained although rain has been moderate to intense. 2.20 inches IMBY so far. Radar projections for 6-7 more hours of rain!

Yeah but the low temp is probably around 6AM when all the moisture has moved out.

18Z ICON has the moisture placement further south, and shows what would be a significant ice storm for the western half of southeast Texas.

3 inches of rain in CLL and counting. One of those Texas all day rains. Still beats 100°F and high humidity.
