So will we start our spring after this cold blast or will we will more colder weather at the end of February/beginning of March?

Here in NW Austin, TX DOT is closing 183 both directions (between McNeil and Toll 45) due to icing (Fox 7 just reported). There have been many accidents, but nothing compared to last week. I slipped twice on my way to work this morning. Thankfully the icing on the road isn't solid, so able to gain traction fairly easily again. The big problems are elevated surfaces.
At one point this morning, traffic was backed up from McNeil all the way up to Cedar Park's Buttercup Creek subdivision.

How much did your temps drop with the frontal passage?srainhoutx wrote:Front just passed my location in NW Harris County.

Not much at all (1-2 degrees). Colder air is lagging behind just a bit. Brenham is in the upper 20's/low 30's. Hempstead has dropped to the upper 30's as well, so it's marching SE.ticka1 wrote:How much did your temps drop with the frontal passage?srainhoutx wrote:Front just passed my location in NW Harris County.

Just my humble opinion, but I am thinking (hoping..LOL) that we will be ok. I am not seeing the moisture from the wrap around and the wind should dry things out for rush hour traffic. I am just hoping.
It must've passed through Cypress then too. I don't get off work until about 2...so I'm a little worried. What do y'all think?srainhoutx wrote:Not much at all (1-2 degrees).
