When watching KHOU weather forecast graphics showing the passage of a front, I can't help noticing something odd in the wind speed/direction vectors plotted on the graphics. It was present in the first graphic on tonight's 10:18 weather segment as well (Dec 30, 2010).

There's this one odd wind vector that's much longer in magnitude and usually a much different direction from the surrounding vectors. In tonight's graphic, its origin was near Moravia in Lavaca county just west of Sealy. Why is that one wind vector always so different from everything else on the plot?
