Dang it. I don't want to set the Sprinklers while we are away. Hoping for rain this afternoon and tonight.

If you don't see any rain during the daytime today, late tonight/tomorrow morning everyone should see some rain with the front as a large MCS pushes through.

Band is hitting here now. It’s pouring rain. I’ll take whatever we can get on this last week of the meteorological spring season.

The MCS tomorrow is coming at the wrong time of day. It looks like pretty weak sauce by the time it gets to southeast TX.

12Z mesoscale models actually look pretty good to me.

Let me guess. It’s at the Merrell Center? And yeah it should be dry.

I see maybe 1-2”. I was just hoping for much more. As dry as it is where I live, you won’t even be able to tell it rained after just 1-2”.

There won't be standing water, but the grass and trees will green up tremendously. I had 1.4 inches on Sunday morning. Before the rain, my pond was about 9-12 inches below normal level. After the rain, it was at normal level and the grass and trees looked much better. Fortunately, I picked up more rain this morning with more expected again tomorrow. I think we will have some more dry weather for about a week, but rain will return soon next month.

So glad that was a short length of no rain last couple weeks. I was worried we’d be starting a 2011 all over again. Moisture looks like its making a come back in reasonable times now. Shew…

And glad to see nothing ending our drought all at one time. Slow and steady wins the race. Lol

Yeah I see more rain chances coming up in June as well and I think that’s when the tropics will start to heat up.

It appears we may need to watch the gulf over the next 10-12 days, latest global outlook is out and it is pretty interesting
