Aside from one tiny band of storms it looks like all the energy is over water. Unless something is suppose to form up, I don't see us getting much of anything this morning.

Yup..another overly hyped forecast
I was going to ask the same thing. Is something supposed to form cause so far everything looks to be in the gulf already shifting east.

I was supposed to wake up to the sound of rain!!
It does appear to be creeping NNE now (the big blob in the Gulf) Maybe all hope is not lost?

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
638 AM CDT Tue May 24 2022
.AVIATION [12Z TAF Issuance]...
Ceilings are bouncing around MVFR and VFR this morning, but should
gradually lift to VFR by 17-18Z. Scattered showers and storms
possible for CXO and south this morning until upper level low
moves out of the area. Precip should be gone by 19Z. Models
haven`t been too reliable in capturing the rain and storms today,
but tried to narrow the window for TSRA to 13-16Z today. Another
front arrives tonight and should reach our northern sites (CLL and
UTS) by 04-06Z and push towards the coast by 10-12Z. Expect gusty
conditions and lowering ceilings as this line of showers and
thunderstorms pushes through.

Temp and dewpoint shooting up here.
Some streamer bands popping too.

Lightning showing-up towards Splendora and Plum Grove.
Band to my south is juicing-up from south to north and just might train over me for a bit. Fingers crossed we get something this morning as an appetizer.

Hopefully the rain stays confined to the coast today, we dont need it here
You never turn down non 100 year rainfall event in SE Texas when a drought is looming and you've already been well above average for temps and its not even June.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 9:51 am Hopefully the rain stays confined to the coast today, we dont need it here

JDsGN we got good rain here, plus I have my brothers graduation ceremony im going to this afternoon, thats why i hope the rain stays near the coast
It needs to come ashore and post up a bit. My area is in single digit rainfall for the year.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Tue May 24, 2022 9:51 am Hopefully the rain stays confined to the coast today, we dont need it here
I’m on way back from McAllen and they got a flood down there. Streets were under water. Probably the biggest rain they had there all year. Hopefully I come back home to more rain but the radar doesn’t look too good for the southwestern counties. The rain looks aimed for the eastern half of the area.
That little band up here fizzled. Probably too far west to get much out of that low, but it sure is wrapping up nicely. Almost tropical looking.
