I hope only May flowers and not any tropical mischief.

If we want rain, it’ll probably have to come from something in the tropics.

Seabreeze is common with return flow. Fronts become scarce, but the cap is usually gone.

Saw where the coastal areas get another round in the morning on Saturday and then everyone gets a feisty round late Saturday evening.

I posted this in the April thread before realizing - wow - we are already changing months:

A few things I have noticed today/tonight:
1) Around noon today, I noticed that even though the front had pushed through, the low clouds - and these were hanging very low, barely above the pine trees - were already getting sucked-in to the NW from the SE over a cold shallow front that was barely above the surface.
2) That blob out to the west keeps pushing closer, with even more convective activity.
3) Gulf storms to our immediate S and SE are dying, so there is nice, warm inflow into the 'blob' to the west...at least for now.

Well they said some isolated areas up to 10” and I guess I’m in one of those areas cuz I’m right at 10” so far.

Another morning of much needed rain :). We'll have to watch things tonight as models are hinting at training thunderstorms as the main upper level low passes through.

I was just thinking that. Was a rain out this weekend. Next weekend will be a buffet.

This southern round should be blowing on out shortly and allow all day to recharge for a round this evening.

We may not get any tropical mischief this month but I’m fairly confident we will get hit by a storm later this summer.

Looks like a round for southern areas has developed by Corpus already.

Yep! Had mostly blue skies and the sun was bright for 5 min about 30 min ago. Clouds moving back in and thickening. May be a long afternoon, evening and night.
