Happy Independence Day everyone! It's currently 79F with a breeze. This morning it was 63F. I still have not turned on the A/C this summer...😉

I bet that area of weather coming from the east dies out before it gets to Houston.

I was hoping we would get an outflow boundary that would drop the temps as the line of storms fade away as they approach the Houston-Galveston areas. Still watching and hoping. Its hot out there today and would sure enjoy some Srain's cool weather.

...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 440 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles southwest of Nacogdoches to near Fred.
Movement was west at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Livingston, Apple Springs, Trinity, Onalaska, Corrigan, Groveton,
Point Blank, Kennard, Goodrich, Seven Oaks, Sebastopol, Lake
Livingston State Park, Alabama-Coushatta Reservation, West
Livingston, Leggett, Pennington, Moscow, Segno, Romayor and
Centralia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

If on or near Lake Livingston, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thun

Euro and Ensemble have rain nearby Tuesday and Wednesday. Pretty iffy overall, though.


Sprinklers back on tonight, unfortunately. Full blast.

95 down to 73 in Beaumont. Raining heavy with bad lighting and thunder. Im loving it. My house even cooled ten degrees and ac finally shut off. What a nice way to close out a holiday Friday.

It defies logic how dry Texas is during summer relative to both the humidity seen across the state during summer, as well as how much rain places JUST to the east receive.
