Radar can’t pick up what’s out in the Gulf. It’s too far away. You have to look at the satellite.

To me it looks like the center of the storm is right over Rosharon or just west of there.

What channel/station? I haven't watched any local news in over 2 years now. Perhaps they were attempting to boost their 5 o'clock ratings... ;)

It was FOX, Jim Siebert. I don't care for him much, but was waiting for Judge Judy to come on.

I'm going to "hot link" a live visible loop of Imelda today. It is obliviously clear looking at the loop that we have a purely tropical cyclone making landfall along the Upper Texas Coast. I will remove the link in an hour or so.

That’s a beautiful shot! If this would’ve had another 24 hours out over water I bet it really would’ve taken off.

Yeah about that northward movement @ 7.

And ch 2 sounding the all clear was a little sad. I get the need to not be overly dramatic but they went the opposite direction.

Channel 2 is very conservative. Most conservative out of all the channels.

I see little movement via radar loop. A wise Grandma once told me "believe nothing you hear and half what you see".
