Looks like that cell is headed my direction and will pass between Alvin and Friendswood on the way to League City. Seeing lots of high level sheet lightening but little thunder which is not what I would expect with a cell that close.

Outlined in blue have the greatest chance of some flash flooding the next two hours as the storm behind the main cell begins to strengthen. This is going to provide a long-stretch of heavy rain over the area that is impacted by the leading thunderstorm.

It's nice to hear the thunder again. Kinda calming in a way. Looks like areas around Pearland need to be watched for flooding. Some training has already occurred and will continue for the short term.

Thunder is rattling the windows across NW Harris County at this time. These sneaky little shortwave are showing that in the right atmospheric conditions, severe storms with at least quarter sized hail and intense rainfall amounts are possible. We appreciate everyone updating throughout the afternoon/evening! Great job Gang!

Lost power here in my Pasadena neighborhood at 7:34pm. Just came back on around 10:50. Over three hours without power. Everything inside and outside just pitch black. Nice little February treat before Meteorological Spring begins in a couple of days.

Meanwhile, I live a few blocks away from the Pasadena Fairgrounds where Jeff Lindner tweeted an inch of rain in 15 minutes was observed. Which equivilates to 4 inches per hour. Told a friend of mine who is a TV met here in Houston that I hadn't seen rainfall rates like that since Harvey where just near Hobby we had 7" per hour... I won't ever forget that rainfall rate.
My neighborhood flooded quickly tonight. Once it drained off a bit I drove around since I didn't have power to see how the bayous were. Still a good couple feet from topping any banks, thankfully. Water is starting to drain.

Glad this is all over.

Much more calm weather compared to last night. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for all of SE TX this morning. In addition, radar shows some light scattered showers and mist moving across the SE TX. Mild but cloudy day ahead with highs in the low to mid 70s and 40% chance of showers. The mild cloudy damp weather with some showers will continue through the rest of week and into the weekend.

Fog will be an issue throughout most of the day with a slight improvement is visibilities midday into the afternoon...maybe. Visibilities decrease again overnight and may not improve much until the wee hours of the morning up North as a shallow front oozes into our Region. That shallow front will be very slow to progress South toward the Coast, so expect a variation in the temperatures ahead and behind that front as we end February 2019.

We got 1.6" overnight. Had a power outage for about 2 minutes last night, too. This morning, thick fog. It seems to have gotten a bit thicker since about 0700.

Praying for dryer weather for a while so the yard can drain.

Got over 2 inches last night in the bay area with street flooding.
We never lost power which I am grateful for.
Lightning was amazing.
Not looking forward to the "freeze" next week.
