SEPTEMBER 2018 - Very Wet Month Wrap Up
The Nada/Garwood area which is basically located between El Campo and Columbus off Highway 71 just picked up 3-4” in the last couple hours. That’s about 15-20 min to my northwest. We got sprinkles here and a lot of thunder, but nothing but a trace of rain so far.
Fierce line of thunderstorms rumbling up from the south early this morning. Thunder has been quite loud and power has went out a few times.
Once again the rain has missed us besides a few sprinkles so far this morning. Just wanted to point out there’s a small pocket of 5-8.5” of rain that has already fallen this morning just to the east of Angleton around the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge.
Street complete flooded at my house off Scarsdale.

That's what it seems like, right? We 'only' got about .6" of rain overnight, but it piled on the standing water we already have in the yard, so moar standing water.snowman65 wrote:Welcome to Seattle, Tx, where it rains every **** day..
One of our pups just loves it. The other one hasn't gone outside yet.

Famine or feast around here. I tabulate 7.25 in of rain IMBY for the month including 2.6 in over the last 48 hours.
Hope it dries soon. We had a 2 day break with the front. Models look soggy for this week unfortunately.
Can someone try to give an explanation for this? With all of the rain in September, along with the lack of any fall fronts, with it being October tomorrow, I have not seen a single love bug. Usually they have come and gone by now. Is there some sort of connection between those 3 things? Just curious.
