Very bad trend over Houston Metro region. Continuing training is concerning considering this is really only day 2 of day 5-6. Stay safe everyone!

Not good.
Yeah - I can see it at the end of the loop. Like the energy from the center jumped 150 miles East.

Pasadena, Baytown, Pearland near the center. How large can the core events grow?

Core rains happen near the core or center of low pressure.

Core rains happen because the warm core low pressure and cooler ambient temperature. The thunderstorms happen near the center, hence the name core rain.

Core rains can occur with any low pressure as long it is a warm core low pressure. They can be non-tropical in origin.

Yeah - that's what is strange. The center of low pressure at ground and aloft is just west of Victoria, and does not appear to be moving substantially. This is more like a Gulf firehose?

Really concerned here, high water on the side of our house and we have a drainage system. But the water has no where to go when the street is a river.

I sure hope so! It stopped for a but is now raining again. Only time I have seen water lapping up the driveway was during Allison. And we have never seen standing water on the side of the side of the house like we have seen this evening.
