That red blob to the southwest of Houston looks like a severe cell making a b-line for the city. Is that going to hold up?

Lightning to my SW just now. Light freezing rain has started in NW Harris County. Temp down to 31F.

Let's see what effects is has on the temp there. Will it be evaporative cooling or will the moisture pull the upper warm layer down and mix to warm the surface?Mr. T wrote:Rain starting to fall in Kingwood. Temps is 32
