WRF generates rain in the SW HGX CWA tomorrow, for reasons I don't understand.

PW's 1.5 to 1.8 pooling along Matagorda Bay. A stalled and washing out boundary that may very well return as a warm front would do the trick.

Whoa! High risk for north central OK and extreme southern KS. The high-risk region is very close to the OK City as well..

Interesting, however it is prime time severe weather season for them. I was taken back how, even though a tornado watch was issued for areas just west of Dallas, the cap was just too strong over Texas, keeping severe weather at the Red River northward...

To think that DFW has had more rain than we have as of late. This dry spell around these parts is getting to be an issue.. No?

Oklahoma and Kansas have always been hot spots for tornadoes, but unless my
memory serves me wrong, it seems like there us an uptick in activity this year in these hot spots.
At any rate... I think I had rather deal with a Hurricane than some massive tornado. Luckily, we do not get the big twisters down here.

On other topics. My sister lives in Tennessee, but not in Nashville. Talk about another uptick in the nasties. My concern for our area is what will mother nature bring for the summer months to reverse this dry weather...

We are not officially in a drought yet, and even if we were, it would only be affecting everyone's lawns. Thanks to abundant rainfall noted north of us, area lakes and rivers are fine...

Besides, we will likely see some nice rainfall coverage this upcoming weekend as models have well advertised the death of the "death ridge" with a trough axis and several disturbances traversing through the area.

It's been dry, sure... But, it hasn't really been a big deal (yet).

Guidance continues to advertise a chance of rain this weekend. The 12Z 5 Day QPF has shifted a bit E. Hopefully the trend will continue and we will see some rain relief this weekend. There are cracks in my yard even after watering the past several days!

Yes, there is finally hope for Saturday and Sunday for some rainfall.
Like Steve, the ground on my property has begun to crack. It is difficult to get enough water on it.

Thank God for that, southeast and south Texas could definitely use the rain regardless of how much that we do get this coming weekend. We just do not want or need too much all at one time for that would lead to a flood.

Based on reading the SWODY3 for Thursday, I'm hoping (not saying I'm expecting, just hoping) storm coverage in Central Texas is enough to generate outflow boundaries or develop enough of a cold pool to generate a pseudo-front which would sweep into the area.

0Z GFS has winds at the cap level swinging from the SW, big cap, to the SE, no cap, by the end of the day Friday.

5 Day QPF looks a bit better this morning. Keeping fingers crossed for some rain!
