The latest CanSIPS guidance shows #ElNiño peaking in Jan-Feb 2019, so a little later than the climatological norm.

Looks like a full-basin event -- the whole North Pacific is toasty.

The North Pacific is warm. The area around Gulf Of Alaska is warm as well. Not expecting it to be on the level of 2013-2014, which contributed to numerous cold blasts as there is ridging over Alaska from the East Pacific Oscillation (EPO).
