Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?

The current temp is now 37.8 and still dropping fast. Now has changed to a sleet snow mix but left a dusting here on the grass. The biggest snowflakes I...

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?

I have a question. Is all the moisture that is currently up to the north slowly advancing to the southeast? Looks like the storms are moving east and are way to the north. I have been watching weather all of my life but am constantly learning. Thanks to all of you that make this a learning experien...

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?

I was afraid that I would get up this morning to a change in the forecast and a possible bust. I am glad to see that there is a huge amount of moisture on its way! :D

It is dry here in San Jacinto county 20 miles due east of Lake Conroe but looks like it's coming :)

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?

IR Imagery tonight show some interesting features. A polar front is diving rapidly S through the Plains. To our W, our storm is slowly moving out of AZ into SW NM at this hour. The Upper Disturbance continues to move ESE to SE rather slowly... http://www.srh.noaa.gov/tropical/satpix/eaus_ir4_loop.p...

After this round of moisture moves through which it looks to be fairly soon is there more expected to come this way? It seems the forecast is for precip most of the night?? I read somewhere that there is another low yet to come overnight. Is this the case?

Just looking at the radar and looks like a huge band of icy stuff in western Montgomery county heading east. Wonder if it is actually reaching the ground?
