Re: January 2024

As of right now July and August look wet around here with a TC risk. If it rained every day in Summer I would be more tolerant of Summer. I think 2007 was the wettest summer that I can recall. Yes, my first Summer back in Texas. I was in grad school in Ohio ‘04-‘06 and got to experience some fun Wi...

If the HRRR verifies I’ll end up with over a foot of rain.

Another 1-3 for most everyone.

Re: January 2024

65-85 is this zone for me. I could easily move to Hawaii and never complain. The place down in Dunedin is usually in the 70's in winter and low 90's in the summer. That's fine for me as well. I'm getting to where I just can't stand anything over 95 or under about 45. Semi-retiring in Florida will b...

Re: January 2024

I'm honestly trying to think of any benefit regarding any form of winter freeze/frost. Less pests, I guess? Otherwise, any temperature below 40°F is totally useless. And even prolonged 40s are less than ideal. From Larry Cosgrove in response to my question about winter weather returning to SETX: Ye...

Of course, it would probably be a hurricane!

Re: January 2024

🥶 image7 (2).png 16°F last night with a high of 31°F. The prognostication that we'd stay below freezing from Sunday at 2 am to Wednesday afternoon is panning out. About 80 consecutive hours below freezing. The dew point is currently 6°F, so we're going to go pretty low tonight. I'm going to wager 1...
