The 12Z GFS AND FV3 GFS show some fun stuff for SE Texas and us in south Louisiana around the 24th.

Did ya'll see the last few frames of the 12Z FV3 GFS?? Wow, it dumps the motherload of cold along with precip. I know it's way far out and will change, but I sure like the trend.

The last few frames of the 18Z FV3 GFS are really starting to look interesting. I realize, it's a long way out, but, it may give some credence to what has been discussed for weeks about the anticipated pattern change.

The 12Z FV3 GFS didn't run this morning.

The GFS now starts dumping cold air out of Canada southward towards the end of the run. The 12Z.

A negative Artic Oscillation with negative North Atlantic Oscillation and a developing cross Polar flow into a deepening trough near mid January. This winter weather go around is for Austin to Dallas over to Longview. Good for them. They were shut out last year. We will have many more chances this year with this pattern. Even our resident heat miser has said so. He thinks SE Texas could see multiple from January 15- End of winter. LOL! Who's...
