Going to need to watch outflow boundary charging south and east from north Texas. Already seeing some home grown showers, which is an earlier start than the past few days (for central areas).

Re: June: Slight Risk Severe Storms Tuesday. Watching The Gu
If only it was a little later in the day. Lin ear system in Louisiana has an attached (somewhat strong) outflow boundary currently tracking south into our northern counties. Some showers are beginning to develop and I can see a few TCU's to my north and east. Though, it is only 10AM and surface inst...

Re: 2012 Atlantic Hurricane Season General Discussions
I nice messy tropical storm that moves WNW out of the Bay of Campeche would be wonderful, especially if it can cause the ridge to retrograde much further west and leave behind a nice moist flow off of the Gulf.

Re: June: Hot & Dry Ahead. Keeping An Eye On The Tropics
Waiting on the ECMWF, but the 0Z GFS has come in wetter for Tuesday, and keeps the possibility of precipitation for at least the northeastern zones through the weekend, then hints at the possibility that daily seabreeze storms will be possible into the following week with a moist flow off of the Gul...

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain
Boundary moving south about to collide with the slowly moving seabreeze boundary just north of Galveston island on into central Chambers county. Convection may begin ot increase over the southeastern parts of town pretty soon.

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain
Picked up .48 overnight, was hoping for more but I'll take it. PWATS are actually slightly higher than they were yesterday and skies are currently clear at my location. Hopefully we can get some decent coverage later this afternoon. As I type, showers are popping up under a growing CU field just to ...

last ditch hope is that convection to our west could organize into a MCS and roll East

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain
Well, I was hoping for storms to fire along a boundary collision to my south and drift north... but another day another big fat zip. I really am starting to think we (atleast very locally) are going to end up like 2011

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain
Srainhoutx, I know we're not even through this "event" yet... But what do you feel about the front increasing rain chances locally again next week? and do you think Late June into July may see a return of tropical moisture?

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain
Cell in eastern Montgomery county appears to be pushing severe limits, though they're pulsing so the storm may not be strong for very long.

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain
Remnants of stalled frontal boundary is becoming very evident of radar, as well as an outflow boundary moving south and slowing just north and west of a line from Bryan to Huntsville, as well as the boundary that Steve mentioned from Victoria on towards Liberty County. Temperatures in the low 90's n...

Cu field growing all across the area with enhancement along a boundary from east of Huntsville through the Montgomery area, down to near Columbus. Showers beginning to pop up as well. Here is to hoping!

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain
Sure hope so! At least some areas are receiving rain, better than 105 and endless sunshine. Models also hinting at a very moist return flow setting up in about a week, plus the potential of another stalling cold front mid next week.

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain
Hard to believe such a promising event has delivered so little. Even though things looked good this morning, I'm again starting to loose hope. Even if storms are able to fire along outflow boundaries like yesterday, they tend to have trouble sustaining themselves over larger areas of real estate, an...

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain
I can see some towering CU now beginning to develop along the seabreeze to my southwest. The outflow boundary also has tons of healthy CU and Cumulonimbus growth along it to my northeast. Could be an interesting interaction over the next hour or two...

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain
Kind of depressing going from what we were hoping a few days ago to maybe a storm or two over the next few days. However, models are acting like they want to being the low back down south of the DFW by Thursday evening. Also, the GFS is showing more of a rain threat from the gulf on Saturday, kind o...
