Re: 2023 Hurricane Season Discussion
Unusual pattern on the models with an east coast trough in late August. Looks more like late September or October. We've had a persistent trough overhead all summer here in WNC. Other than a few brief episodes where the upper ridge attempted to anchor, the main theme has been troughiness along the ...

Re: July 2023
I know you SE Texas folk are looking for some relief from the heat anywhere you can. The upper air pattern looks to shift enough W to bring rain chances to the Region beginning Saturday night into next Monday. We've had storms all day here in the Smoky Mountains with temperatures in the low to mid 6...

Johnson Key is actually in Florida Bay N and E of Key West. Florida Bay in that area is typically only 3 to 4 feet deep.

Re: Long range model discussion
Thank you folks for bringing up the discussion regarding social media. The truth is before I made the move to NC, we cut off cable and went to strictly streaming. Best move I've ever made. Re: April 2023
Back in town until early Friday morning. Looking wet starting tomorrow into Saturday. Typical situation around these parts as a cold front stalls offshore and then a surface trough develops with embedded upper air disturbances ride across our Region. Almost time to monitor the short range meso guida...

You guys and gals enjoy your weather. It looks like I will likely be dealing with the biggest snow storm I had since moving here.
