Re: TS Hermine Gulf of Mexico

Yeah Cory, the potential for core rains is likely very real with the approach that Hermine will make into Central TX. Looking forward to your KWRF runs. Re: August Weather Discussion

60-65mph winds in Richmond between 605 and 620pm. Very strong downbursts within inner rain core had the shingles standing on end. By far the strongest winds since Ike and no pwer of 6.5 hours.

Re: Cold weather has arrived with more to come?...

Seeing some enhancement N of KVCT...profile still too warm except over our N counties where change over has developed...however it is cooling...could see IP/RA mix possibly SN/RA mix into NW Harris and much of Montgomery County...actually better chances look like over in deep SE TX in LA.

Re: Cold weather has arrived with cold rain on the way...

Likely seeing accumulation in Madison and Houston Counties. Brenham reporting mix...may see mix as far south as SE Montgomery and N Liberty Co...if rain can hang on a few more hours. 1-2 slushy inches looks likely in the advisory area.

8.7 inches at DFW now...incredible

HGX seems to think areas N and E of Montgomery County may see some accumulation on grassy surfaces. Houston/Trinity/Polk counties and NE may see some wet sl...

Re: Planting Forecasts

I have stuff growing in my kitchen I started in early Jan...too cold this winter for early planting...will probably wait until March (mid) to put it out unless I build a small greenhouse over each plant. Hard winter...one of the hardest in years, following one of the hottest and driest summers in ye...
