Re: wxdata 1951-2010

I certainly hate to hear this about Dan. The meteorologist world has lost a good one. He will truly be missed around here. Thoughts and prayers to all of Dan's family and friends.

1st feeder bands moving through Round Rock and the I-35 corridor. Rain from Kennedy up to Waco. A little thunder, no wind, but a nice heavy tropical downpour. My grass is loving it! Not really 100% associated w/ Alex. There is a washed out front/weak boundary around the Austin area, giving enough l...

Re: NWS MAY END TEXT PRODUCTS WITH ALL CAPS

Then why are newspapers, books, even this forum typed/printed in mixed case? Because it's easier to read.............. I said " Reading the WEATHER ", lol. I also said " TO ME " :? At least on the internet it is. I didn't say reading newspapers, books, forums, etc. Maybe it's ju...

To me, for whatever reason, reading the weather in all uppercased is easier on the eyes than mixed case. Not too sure why.

Re: Wow! What a transition this is temperaturewise.

I was in Wichita Falls this weekend, and all I can say is.. BRRRRRR... Got woke up by the sleet banging against the window at about 3AM, woke up to sleet all over, then it turned into a moderate-heavy snow event all day long. Winds were howing about 30mph with temps around 30F. I have seen snow 4 ti...

Re: Spring Foward=Move clocks ahead one hour

I would take Daylight Savings Time over Standard Time ANYDAY! I absolutely HATE how early it gets dark in the winter! 6:30PM would be better than getting dark at 5:30PM in December! Blahh on standard time!!

Moderate Snow here in Round Rock (Where I work off of I35/620), no rain or sleet anymore. When I left home in NW Austin, it was a moderate sleet/rain mix.

Re: Cold weather has arrived with cold rain on the way...

I'm in SW Austin and its only cold rain right now. But yes we had some very bright radar returns just move through the metro area. Radar thinnin...

Easy fix, go to your Control Panel, and choose subsilver2 under Profile, Edit Global Settings, and option My board style. Goes back to the old way :)
