The GFS is hinting at a 1050+mb high dropping south out of Canada into Montana unleashing brutal cold straight down the plains and into Texas in about 8 to 9 days from now. Check out hour 180 on the 18Z FV3 GFS. The clipper doesn't dry up like it does on the regular GFS. This scenario was there a few days ago and went away. Now, it's back.

There are a lot of weather pages on Facebook and many of them ignore other parts of the country other than the northeast. It's as though nothing else exists. JB is one who seems to favor the northeast due to the fact that he lives in Pennsylvania.
