Re: Easter Weekend Weather
I'll edit the Topic to cover April now. It does appear that we may be heading into an active severe weather season. Tomorrow night may spawn so bumpy weather in Central TX if the cap can be broken.Ed Mahmoud wrote:Out of holidays for about 7 weeks.

Many analog years will be mentioned as we approach the Tropical Season. 1995 may be a fairly good 'match' to what we can expect. As always, we shall see.

Re: Changes To The GFS Effective 6/22/2010! Another Upgrade.
Another thing about these upgrades will the positive effects on longer range forecasting of tropical systems. I believe wxman57 has stated after re analysis of Ike after the parallel upgrade, the GFS infact showed an Upper TX Coast strike instead of the Lower TX Coast/Corpus Christi. With the upgrad...

Re: Easter Weekend Weather
I am beginning to think that the front may stall near or just W of our area. I noticed Austin-Bergstrom is at 75 with dewpoints in the upper 60's at this hour. Should that occur, it may throw another wrinkle in the weekend forecast.

Re: Easter Weekend Weather
Perhaps a bit more daytime heating than previously thought as stratus deck is not that thick and a little destabilization could get things firing.
