Many analog years will be mentioned as we approach the Tropical Season. 1995 may be a fairly good 'match' to what we can expect. As always, we shall see.

Another thing about these upgrades will the positive effects on longer range forecasting of tropical systems. I believe wxman57 has stated after re analysis of Ike after the parallel upgrade, the GFS infact showed an Upper TX Coast strike instead of the Lower TX Coast/Corpus Christi. With the upgrad...

I am beginning to think that the front may stall near or just W of our area. I noticed Austin-Bergstrom is at 75 with dewpoints in the upper 60's at this hour. Should that occur, it may throw another wrinkle in the weekend forecast.

Dan and I were just discussing how there is better moisture the futher W one goes which matches the thoughts of the NWS of an E of I-35 corridor senario. Beginning to see some cumulus clouds structures to my N and W.

Looks like it. Noticing the showers/storms NW of Austin moving E fairly quickly. A lot of wind damage reports from KS and MO as well.
