.25” today. Not much of anything but better than nothing. The clouds help a lot. Some nasty storms to the west along the boundary. Hopefully more to come tomorrow and Saturday

Re: September 2023

I am bit happy with UH performance last night. Quite frankly their first two games have been a disappointment. Their season is over already

Maybe the Texans will surprise some folks. Doubtful but can’t be worse than the last almost decade

Welp, what I mentioned at the top of the page happened, but a tad too late for anything worthwhile with the sun down.. Got about 30-40 drops of rain lol!

Re: September 2023

Only chance I may have is if that sea breeze in Needville can keep pushing N and fire something off in the Richmond area. I’d consider it a minimal chance at best but I’m still dancing

Re: September 2023

Granted I don't live in the area any more, but I'm curious why some seem to have been under the impression they were guaranteed rain today? This seemed like a classic low quantity, higher intensity day? It also seemed to be messaged that way? My answer to this is: Yes, you’re absolutely right in sa...

Re: September 2023

I have 30% today and 50% tomorrow and Tuesday. Wouldn’t be surprised if those are trended down as the day goes on and into tomorrow. There were some scattered storms with the sea breeze yesterday south of I-10. Fingers crossed they continue or cover more area before the the faucet is sealed shut. Ba...

Sheesh Idalia is bombing out in the GoM at least by satellite imagery. Sheesh what a disaster this could be. Thankful it isn't heading here but prayers those that are going to take this head on.

Re: August 2023

Predictions of rolling blackouts starting around 730. Demand outpaces supply. Nah.. if it was 3-4pm then absolutely. On another note, below is a snip from Jeff Lindner’s email about an hour ago. Looks like it could be a serious situation if they can’t get ahead of it. Those crown runs are dangerous...

Re: August 2023

OK, cinch bug experts - are these cinch bugs on my pool deck? These are basically the only living bugs left in the Woodlands. When you kill them they smell like stink bugs. So is that a yes? I need to treat for cinch bugs? According to my app, “picture insect” ( you should download, it’s amazing an...

It hit 107.2 IMBY. Doesn’t matter how much you water, grass is shriveled up and crunchy by this time of the day until the sun goes down

Re: August 2023

I’d bet they are legit readings, well many at least. Huntsville Airport has already hit 112. Conroe airport has hit 107, Hooks airport has hit 108. College station has hit 110. Heck Bay City has hit 107!!

All those readings per NWS observations that were last updated at 14:53 (over an hour ago).

I’m sure fire hazards will be in the increase with higher winds and I think Lindner mentioned that this morning.

Will we at least get some cloud cover? Anything helps LOL

Re: August 2023

Lucy strikes again. I’m so tired of Texas summers. Worthless season. Just kills everything, wrecks foundations and fences, and too hot to do a damned thing for 4 months. Seriously. I’ve seen so many houses with tunnels under them lately. Despite watering as much as a I can and keeping my grass gree...
