Yeah in a heartbeat we went from a forecast of much-needed heavy rainfall to lets-hope-for 10 drops and pray that your house doesn't get destroyed.
I used to love watching weather developments. Now it's something I dread thinking about any more.

Re: August 2022
This will be a transitory high, its only going to be here for 2-3 days and the. it moves off, models are in agreement on a front moving into our area late week Yep, exactly. After Thursday we could be done with the upper 90’s to low 100’s till next summer. Huge pattern change coming. So many Nancy’...

Re: August 2022
It just blows me away that we're on the dirty side of a tropical disturbance just off our coast in mid August and we're barely even getting some cloud cover from it.

When we see the daily drift of rich moisture moving our way from Louisiana, only to go poof at the border... it's obvious...

Re: September 2021
Since we are in a lull for the moment, I can't resist. Some of the conversations on here are just too out there to believe at times. https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/842/755/493.jpg Agreed. Lately I feel like I'm back in Arizona <inside joke>. Dozens of useless posts per day cause m...

Re: August 2021: Watching the NW Caribbean/Western Gulf
Yeah I have been following him (dating back to KTRH radio days) for 30+ years. He's a combination of weather expertise and entertainment for the uninformed. He can be a hypemaster... but when he says to evacuate the platforms, the oil companies do it. Which is expensive for them to do. And if he'd m...

Re: July 2020
I started the day with a forecast of 80% likely heavy rain. Not a drop so far... and the forecast as of this message is 70% likely rain for this afternoon/evening. Current radar says no-way. I'm not blaming the local NWS folks, just the models they rely on. How can they miss so bigly?
