Re: November 2020

Starting to get in range of the TX-tech WRF and some of the other good mesoscale models. Real key for heavy rain will be where the warm front sets up Saturday night.

Re: November 2020

Iota, the record setting 30th named Atlantic basin tropical storm of the season has formed and expected to move into Central America on Monday. Probably looking at a major hurricane too. I never imagined we would see a season more active than 2005, especially so soon. I suspect we will see a couple...

Re: October 2020

Time to see how far south the front makes it tonight. The mesoscale models all indicate that it will make it at least to Harris County and possibly to the coast. Very tricky forecast for these next couple of days.

Still looks like it’s moving little north west but who knows
Looks like based on radar and recon, we may finally be getting the true north heading.

Re: October 2020: Tracking Hurricane Delta

Looking at radar, you can see two eyewalls, indicating a ERC might be going on. It would also explain some of the weakening.

Will wait for a vdm from recon but looks like beta took a decent jog to the nw. Might be closer to 93.8 now.
Yea most recent recon and radar are showing some NW movement.

What kind of impacts am I looking at in Orange, Tx
Tropical storm conditions probably. Gusts between 50-60mph I would say would be possible, but the majority of the really bad stuff should stay east.
