Re: 2012 Atlantic Hurricane Season General Discussions
There may be a hint of a broad weak surface low developing in the SW Gulf. Veracruz and Xalapa both reporting N winds this past hour while buoy 42055 further NE in the Bay of Campeche is reporting ESE winds. Convection rolled off the Yucatan last night and has remained rather persistent. We'll see ...

Re: Tropical Storm Ernesto: Entering The Eastern Caribbean
srain, now that 91L is on the board - what does this mean for Ernesto? Is it possible that we could have two storms heading in our direction next week?

Re: Invest 91L: E of Florida
Now this is more interesting than Ernesto... Wouldn't that be something if this 'disturbance' came here by middle to end of next week, and Ernesto decides to make a visit as well late next weekend? Talk about something we DONT need! Belmer, I was wondering the same thing....what does this mean now ...

Re: Invest 91L: E of Florida

Re: Tropical Storm Ernesto: Nearing The Windward Islands
Folks, there is going to be plenty of fuel over the western Carribean and Gulf of Mexico. Starting with the former, we need to watch for the possibility of rapid intensification. The big question beyond there is if, or when and where a weakness to its north develops and gives Ernesto a little more ...

Re: Tropical Storm Debby. Watches Issued For Louisiana
I do not want to sound panicked nor do I want to be accused of being panicked, but I have jumped on the "let's prepare" bandwagon myself, as I will be leaving out of state in the wee hours of Friday morning for vacation (maybe)...I figure if nothing happens then so be it, my house will ju...

Re: Ready For Debby?? Invest 96L
8:00 a.m. NHC update - looks like Debby will finally form. It will be interesting to see what they gather in the flight this afternoon and how it affects the model runs. Hopefully that will give us all a better idea of what she's going to do. ;) ZCZC MIATWOAT ALL TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM TROPICAL WEATHER ...

Re: Ready For Debby?? Invest 96L
gut feel is that we get close to having a landfall here.... Unfortunately my gut says the landfall happens along the LA/Tx border which puts us on the wussy side of the storm. I too have a "gut" feeling that Debby will make a TX landfall. I had a "gut" feeling when Ike was first...

Re: Ready For Debby??
Not worried yet - but I have been following the board closely over the past week. Hoping for some rain, but not the wind. At this point, Gene, do you think future Debby could head for the upper Texas coast, and if so, are we looking at a TS?

Re: February Weather. Arctic Blast/Snow/Then More Arctic Co
Any thoughts on what kind of snow can we expect in the Alvin area / south of town? I just scanned through the local weather forecasts - I know we still need to make it through this week, but one forecast was hinting a similar temp set up for next Tuesday.....lows in the lower 20s. Does anyone have m...
