Re: Tropical Storm Isaac: Passing South Of Key West

At Tulane University they have told us that as of now we are sheltering in place for the storm. I for one thing that is a gutsy call considering that the forecast is for a category 2 hurricane to directly hit the city in 2 days. I personally thing the current track is too far east. The storm continu...

Re: Tropical Storm Ernesto: In The NW Caribbean

The Yucutan better watch out Ernesto is looking better and better by the minute as it approaches. And it also does seem to be heading NNW. If this trend in direction continues cancun may see even worse conditions than forecasted and Belize may be spared.

I was wondering about that same thing! It looks like it could reform to the north but i don't think that will affect the track very much at all.

Re: Tropical Storm Ernesto: In The NW Caribbean

I think if Ernesto because much stronger than the models forecast it could struggle its way north a bit more. We will just have to see how long this northern jog lasts

Re: Tropical Storm Ernesto: Nearing The Central Caribbean

Ernesto looks ill. Perhaps I was wrong. The GFS looks to be correct with the Mexican landfall. Unless the storm undergoes some serious reorganization Ernesto will be speaking spanish

Re: Tropical Storm Ernesto: Nearing The Central Caribbean

well most people seem to think this storm will be speaking spanish actually. I personally am a bit skeptical given the strength of the storm. I think it is going to feel the weakness more than models are saying

Re: Tropical Storm Ernesto: In the Eastern Caribbean

I'm not buying the models right now. This thing is going to be stronger than any of them predict which will affect the track

Re: Tropical Storm Ernesto: In the Eastern Caribbean

There is no way this storm is going to take the southern track that the GFS predicts if it keeps intensifying at this rate. It should feel the weakness well. Im starting to think that the northern models may be right. I hope that New Orleans doesn't get this one. I will be attending Tulane Universit...

Re: June: Meandering Upper Low/Stalled Front With Heavy Rain

This is one of those days where the more sun you can see, the better chance you will see rain this afternoon. The sun is out in Cypress! We have picked up 2.58 inches in the past two days so hopefully we can make our storm total 3 or 4 today
