Now that it seems that Isaac has locked onto the NOLA, MS, AL coast...at least we can say that the Hurricane Hunters are flying out of Ellington Field.

I'm following Recon mission #27 live with Tropical Atlantic's Google Earth tracking app. Recon's 2nd fix of Isaac's center was 10 miles North and East of the 1st center fix.djmike wrote:Ok, the last two posts just lost and confused me.....

Recon just fixed the center of Isaac...Forward motion at this time has stopped. In appx. 1.5 hours Issac has moved all of 10 miles NNE of its last fix....vortex should be up soon.

Recon Mission #24 is having a hard time finding the center of Isaac. Came in on his SW leg, thought he had it, did a 180 back to the NE, then did another 180 back to the West, and after going out about 90 miles is heading back to the East. Pressure is up to 004mb. You can see the COC on the Key West radar...If anything the COC looks to be difting North. A Hurricane hunter and a NOAA P-3 are flying through right now...both are getting center fixes.skidog40 wrote:its either the keystone light or did i see wsw movement

Weather station MKRAU, a buoy I think, that is SW of Key West...is showing winds out of the ENE at 63 MPH! Dry Tortugas is showing 37 MPH with gusts to 51.

Recon Mission #21 is outbound of Isaac, heading for home. Last center fix was 24.00N 82.01W. About 40 miles SSW of Key West, FL. Last recon fix was about 20 miles due West of the previous recon fix. Mission #23 "kermit" P-3 Orion on the on way in.
