Re: August 2025

The cooler and drier air has be a blessing. Old injuries from my Fire Fighting days along the Houston Shi...

NE shear should keep development slow the next 24 to 36 hours a it drifts across Florida into the Eastern Gulf sometime tomorrow afternoon or evening. I don't expect to much in the way of strengthening unless there is a slow down S of New Orleans.

Re: July 2025
We are following closely here in Western North Carolina. It brings back so many bad memories of late last September as Helene impacted this Region. I recall the 1987 flood event for Kerr County. I am so devastated that so many young people have been impacted. How many times have warm cored remnant l...

Re: July 2025
It looks like this will rival the 1987 flood event near Hunt and Kerrville. So sad particularly on a Holiday Weekend.

Good luck with your wintry weather Gang! Today marks 12 days I've had snow on the ground. It's the longest stretch with snow on the ground since moving to the Smoky Mountains!

Re: Hurricane Helene
Good morning gang! We have internet back, still no cellular service. The house sits a little up a mountain just above the Valley floor, so we are fine. Not good for folks living along Creeks and streams that became raging rivers. Many areas are cut off after bridges were swept away and unfortunately...

Re: September 2024

I’m now looking to switch to Fubo (which is much cheaper than Direct anyway), but my internet is too slow to stream it. I live out in a rural area so it’s hard for me to get high speed inte...
