That cell is hitting us in Friendswood right now. Rain is heavy and starting to get sideways.

OK, it's 10:30pm and the rain is finally down to a very light mist here, so I'm gonna call my total for today at 3 and 3/8 inches. Along with yesterday's 3 inches even, that puts the entire event here as 6 and 3/8 inches.

So, the total rainfall in my backyard for Oct 24 was only 3 inches at midnight. Since then, as of 8 AM Oct 25, I've recorded another 2 and 3/8 inches. It's definitely slowed down, but today, all of it is running off where only an inch of yesterdays rain here ran off.

My backyard rain gauge was emptied this morning before the rain started. It's now showing exactly 2 inches as of 8 PM CDT. It's just been a steady rain most of the day, very light at first and gradually getting heavier here near Clear Brook High School.

We got a solid inch here in Friendswood today (Sep 10) according to my backyard gauge.
