It will be very interesting to follow the next few months forecasts to see if they continue to have lower pressures. Agree that if those forecasts come to reallity,then the Caribbean may recieve some not welcomed visitors.

Hi to all after a long absence. Yes,it will probably be at Neutral ENSO and that alone guarantees another active season.Let's see how the other factors favor or not the active season that is expected.

La Nina is officially here and is getting stronger. Climate Prediction Center forecasts Moderate to Strong La Nina thru earely 2011.

The 30 day SOI index continues to skyrocket meaning La Nina continues to expand and get stronger. It was March 2008 the last time the over +20 was reached until now.

Weak La Nina is present according to the ENSO models. And the forecast for the next few months is for La Nina to hang on between Moderate and Strong.

The CFS model is now forecassting Moderate to Strong La Nina by the peak of the season in ASO.
