Re: 2023 Hurricane Season Discussion

‘57 Layin’ it down. Galveston will be on the "death ridge" side. "No soup (rain) for you!" NHC will probably be up to 60% by sunrise and 70% tomorrow afternoon/evening. I'm thinking they'll go 80% or higher Sunday. Little doubt it will be at least a depression before it moves inl...

Re: August 2023

Driving from the Woodlands to Tomball on 99, I see a haze I can almost taste 😀.
Is this still the Saharan dust in our area?

Re: 2023 Hurricane Season Discussion

Lindner- Ugh 40% of tropical development early to mid next week in the western Gulf. Unfortunately, the trend is to limit rain chances to the immediate coast and those areas across S TX and the coastal bend. Still hoping the ridge will give enough ground to give parts of the area at least a chance, ...

Re: 2023 Hurricane Season Discussion

Gotta love it...half think we will half don't lol I think everyone is being realistic with the present uncertainty and no one is fully comiting to anything just yet. That said, odds favor the middle and lower Texas coast for widespread rain. Yes, I do not see how this couldn’t be the case. I mean t...

Not a big fan of that date.

Lindner tonight. Changes Mid and upper level ridge of high pressure that has been anchored over Texas for weeks will shift around some this week. Excessive heat and dryness continue over the area…Palacios, Texas has recorded 254 straight hours with a heat index above 100 degrees. College Station has...

Re: August 2023

A tad off topic, but today I left the Woodlands and jumped on 99 headed towards 249. Off in the distance to my left I noticed a couple of fairly good sized grass fires. Is there a good website that will keep up with these “pop up,” fires?
