Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill

Folks along the Brazos River will likely have a lot of lingering issues from Bill. A lot of rain fell into the NW areas of the river. All the areas to the south are still full from the May Storms. All that water has to go somewhere.

Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill

Rain may not be heavy here in most of Houston, but Bill has some explosive thunderstorm activity right now. Look how cold the cloud tops are right now. Probably massive rain underneath the core at the moment. Would like a graphic, please. Still putting on a show. http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/g...

Re: JUNE 2015 -Heavy Rainfall/INVEST 91L & Watching The Gulf

I cant even wager where this will really go as it has been difficult for the pros to get a handle on wild Bill over here. I'm still thinking Matagorda Bay is a likely spot for it to come ashore. Worst case would be closer to Freeport.

Re: JUNE 2015 -Heavy Rainfall/INVEST 91L & Watching The Gulf

if business foollow the cone it will be business as usual for Houston tomorrow. I have a feeling you're right, ticka 1. I remember when Hurricane Claudette menaced Houston in 2003 and it was business as usual. Claudette turned sharply West before it hit. I don't think it even sprinkled in Houston t...

That official track looks pretty bogus when you watch the radar. Looks way too far south.

Re: JUNE 2015 -Heavy Rainfall/INVEST 91L & Watching The Gulf

Damn the Houston news media is just chomping at the bits to call this thing a hurricane. I can't wait to see obligatory video of idiots standing in the surf or canoing down a "flooded" street as someone walks behind them in ankle deep water

Re: May 2015: Wet & Stormy Memorial Day Holiday Weekend

Central and North Texas are going to get it today.

Houston area might get a glancing blow where we don't really need it on the north side.

Re: May 2015: Wet & Stormy Memorial Day Holiday Weekend

Overhyped on the rain (not complaining). The line moved through so fast we barely got 1//2 inch. Future track is showing nothing until Monday night and then a fast line again. No way we are going to get 4-5 inches like they have been saying all week.

Re: September 2014: Watching The Western Gulf Next Week

No sense in worrying about this one. You guys couldn't even get rain pegged all week and are stoill dropping the ball on that. Why should anyone put any stake in forecasts for a storm a week out when everyone is running in failure mode?

Re: August 2014 - Showers/Storms Possible To End The Month

You forecasters are so full of crap. You predicted 40-50% or more rain everyday this week, nothing. 2 or more inches of rain overnight, nothing. Still holding on to these high rain chances all weekend, but it's still dissipating offshore. Time to bust out the sprinklers, again.

My wife took nearly the same picture on the way home from work. I could see two funnels from my home nearby.
