Re: April 2016 - Split Flow With Increasing Rain Chances

Everyone seems to be saying that the cap is very strong and will hold, especially south of Houston. Time to get the sprinklers out anyways... :|

Re: March 2016 - Enhanced Severe WX Threat. Heavy Rain Possi

It has rained pretty much everywhere EXCEPT for Houston which was pegged to take the brunt. I think one of the models had a (-1) in place of the (+1) in the formula...

Got a legend to go with that HRRR map? Wasn't sure what the color scale was relative to everything.

Re: March 2016 - Enhanced Severe WX Threat. Heavy Rain Possi

10+ inches of rain in our area from that map. Calling hype on this now and bet we see closer to 3-4 inches max. I had to crack up at the east texas weathermen during the last "storm". Telling people to turn their tv up real loud and hide in the closet and they would tell them when it was s...

Re: February 2016: Warm & Humid With Rain Chances Increasing

I just don't get people that are happy about 80 degree weather in December, January, and February down on the Gulf coast. We are about to have 6 months of 90-100 degree weather and way more humidity.

Re: February 2016: Warm & Mostly Dry Ahead

Very tired of seeing smokers too lit cigarettes out of their cars. There was another fire along 288 south of town getting out of hand where someone did that. :x

Spring carpooled with winter and then never left us. Winter had to head back north to go back to work,.

Re: January 2016: Rain/Storm Chances Mid Week/Looking Ahead

Yes, I'm having issues with my Bermuda as well. Not cold enough to make it go dormant, but it has slowed down some. Still lush green, but it has been too wet on days that I'm off to actually mow it. At least the barricade I put down for pre-emergent is keeping 90% of the weeds at bay.

Re: January 2016: Rain/Storm Chances Mid Week/Looking Ahead

7 day forecast has lows in the upper 40s / lower 50s pretty much all week. Are we pretty much just going to skip winter too this year and just roll fall into spring? Most of my trees still have at least half of their leaves on them.

Re: December 2015 - Tracking High Impact Christmas Storm

No surprises here. All week hype of the storm, but the cap always holds a tight lid over Houston. Not that I want storms mind you, but we seem to never see the wolves that are called for. I wouldn't declare that just yet. The front is crawling east and we still have a couple of hours of heating lef...

Re: December 2015 - Wet & Stormy Christmas Holidays Likely

The weather really blows right now. The weeds in my yard are going crazy and the mosquitoes are biting and I'm being forced to keep the air conditioner running. I hope we get some kind of arctic transition to take hold and soon.

Pretty much. Nothing to see here but a little cool breeze and a quick bout of rain.
