The 18z GFS is definitely one of the colder runs I have seen of late, but it might not be all that far-fetched. Several waves of cold are looking more and more likely to roll into the USA starting Thanksgiving week and lasting through (at least) the end of the month. I wouldn't at all be surprised ...
