The Brazos River at 59/69 is now projected to have its highest crest ever, even higher than Harvey. Scary stuff. Hope the rain ends soon.

Really surprised there isn’t more news coverage. Looks like a lot of roads/overpasses are either closed or getting treacherous looking at Google Maps

We’re starting to get some training rain here in Sienna. Decent amount of thunder and heavy rain in the last hour or so.

Almost looks like a tropical storm coming in off the Gulf right now. Crazy. We’re also now in a moderate risk of flooding… that escalated quickly

Well, according to the latest 7-day QPF from this morning, that sure deescalated quickly

It’s already 12 degrees just outside of Fort Worth. Temps are way lower than forecast up there!

So is that big blob of rain in the Gulf supposed to come back north, or is the rain coming from elsewhere?

I’m so confused. If this is going to be a significant tropical system in this area, why does the RGV have almost a zero inch 7-day QPF forecast?

This has been a crazy quiet hurricane season so far, and we’re only a few weeks from the peak of the season already!
