Re: August 2019: Weekend Rain Chances/Tracking The Tropics

With daytime heating diminishing, these storms and coverage sure fizzled. Figured this was gonna be an all night deal for us in Beaumont. FFW issued till tomorrow night. 80% for us tomorrow. We’ll see.

Re: July 2019: Typical July Summer Pattern

Line looks to be moving SE last few frames. Got a little bit this morning in Beaumont but nothing heavy. Just a few quick showers. Sun is out and been shining for last few hours, I wonder if that will spark things off in our area later. For now, its just HOT and deathly HUMID! :|

Re: July 2019: Barry Makes Landfall/Louisiana Flood Threat

Wet day across SETX as we say good riddance to barry. Tail end of storms storms today, then....well, just hot! Can someone post where todays boundaries are setting up? Will the heaviest remain offshore or just inland?

Re: July 2019: Barry Makes Landfall/Louisiana Flood Threat

Is that line it? Was/is that what everyone’s been talking about for the last 24 hrs or is larger bigger one supposed to be expected? The current band seems to be dying out.

Re: July 2019: Barry Makes Landfall/Louisiana Flood Threat

Looks like our band is beginning to come together SE of Beaumont slowly advancing NW. Small streamer showers just NW of Beaumont. How far that band moves NW remains to be seen. Houston, baytown, winnie and Beaumont may be the alleyway this evening till tomorrow. Also noticed wind has picked up here ...

Re: July 2019: Barry Makes Landfall/Louisiana Flood Threat

Amazing that blob of barry is still in the gulf. Barry left his butt behind! But on a kore serious note, that blob looks like a complete diff storm than barry. Is there no spinning or cyclonic features with this blob?

Re: July 2019: Barry Makes Landfall/Louisiana Flood Threat

Barry is a strange storm. Not that we in Beaumont were forecasted to get anything big but I think we had more wind and rain yesterday in his outer band when he was further away offshore. Around 2 o’clock today is when we were forecasted by mets to see our 30-35 gusts. Well its now after 2 and maybe ...
