Some people have to have a pretty good setup in their mom's basement to troll a weather board.
Ignore comments like the ones that were made. I have removed the post. Comments like that to do not belong on here for those who have suffered from previous storms.

Re: August 2020: Tracking Laura

GFS moved literally maybe a couple miles east, but 06 and 12z still indicate a Port Arthur landfall. Still seems a hair west of NHC.

Looks like the track didn't move .....again
Track hasn't been updated yet. They usually update things in increments within about 10 minutes. Usually public advisory is first, Discussion and then the track is one of the latter updates.

Re: August 2020: Tracking Laura

06z GFS coming in with a much stronger ridge. Very similar to the 00z Euro.

GFS makes landfall near Port Arthur. Just ever so slightly west from the 00z run.

Re: August 2020: Tracking Laura

I'd be surprised if mandatory evacuations weren't issued before noon for those along the coast.

FWIW: 06z ICON is further west than yesterday runs. High Island landfall.

Re: August 2020: Tracking Laura

EPS ensembles... all (but maybe one or two) avoid Louisiana. Yet Laura still looks south of them all. Laura's fast pace westward, a stronger Bermuda ridge the Euro is forecasting, I wouldn't rule the Freeport area out either putting Houston in the dirty quadrant of the storm. Either way, it's an ugl...

Re: August 2020: Tracking Laura

Ugly run. Not quite at the coast yet, but looks awfully close to a Galveston hit.

Re: August 2020: Tracking Laura

Very Interesting Pretty much ALL 0z GFS ensemble members show Texas now.... And yet the current center is still south of all those ensemble runs. Also of note, the 00z Euro last night compared to now is a good degree south from where it had forecasted to be. 18z Euro is about a hair south from wher...
