Re: December: Moderating Temps/Rain Late Week

i can't believe what i'm reading here. being a kindergartener to your sophisticated meteorology talk, it sure does sound a bit icy, scary, and very very cold!!! i freak out so much about the pipes every time we get 32 and under, probably more than i should, but that would not be a good thing for us ...

Re: December: Tracking Arctic Outbreak II. 12/6-12/2013

I'm just going to go out on a limb here.... In Wharton County and having a parade in El Campo, any chance to see a lil snow flurry? Also, will rain be an issue between 5-9pm? I asked a day or so ago, but want to hear your thoughts now that we are getting close. Probably a bit too close to the Coast...

Re: December: Tracking Arctic Outbreak II. 12/6-9/2013

Hey all, is there anywhere to find a future radar forecast, hourly, for Thursday? We have a parade that night and need to play it by ear, need to finish the float in the afternoon, and get the kids on board. parade starts at 7. wondering exactly how much rain we will face and if it will be cold for ...

Re: December-Light Freeze Friday/Christmas Storm/Very Cold?

Not quite 80s this weekend, but mid 70s Sun/Mon. Still a bit on the cool side. Front comes through on Christmas, cooling us down a bit. GFS isn't as cold as the Euro, which takes our lows down to 29-30 next Thursday. Since Gene is gone from KHOU, I can start my "wxman57 number". I give to...

Re: November: Slight Risk Severe Storms Monday 11/5/SE TX/SW

I don't see any really cold air on the horizon (next few weeks). Weak front next Monday may drop morning lows into the 50s again for a day or two, but that's about it. I'll be in Florida (Orlando) all next week. Looking mild and dry there. Doesn't sound like a weak front anymore, does it?!! LOL brrrr
