Re: February Weather. First week Interest?

Let me pose a question here. The 1989 outbreak was something I will never forget. We closed our office at lunch time and what usually is a five minute drive home for me tuned into almost an hour with the snow and sleet falling. We had over an inch of snow on top of all the sleet that had fallen bef...

Re: February Weather. First week Interest?

I seriously don't understand why everyone is bashing Heller ? This isn't professional or needed, I believe Dan would agree Did you read Hellers blog, what he said was'nt professional neither.

Re: February Weather. First week Interest?

Maybe a little bit, but the Chronicle deserves it. They put out irresponsible information about the weather sometimes. I totally agree.

Re: February Weather. First week Interest?

I like Tim Heller. If anything, the bashing should go toward the other TV weather people, i.e. Billingsley, Norman, Dr Siebert, Mario Gomez, and that new asian chick on Ch. 2 in the mornings, she's horrible. Those dudes screw up the forecast way more than Heller, that's a fact Jack! Nobody's bashin...

Re: February Weather. First week Interest?

I think Heller need to be careful, you might not want to tick off the only newspaper in Houston. One day he's gonna slip up big time and he'll make the front page. :D

Re: January Weather Discussion. Severe Threat/Cold Blast Com

18z looks really good especially for the type of setup. I would like to see more runs like that :) Looks like I am staying up for the 00z again. Are you sure you want to subject yourself to another 0z run? However, if the 0z run starts going colder then we may have something. Great point i know i d...

Re: January Weather Discussion. Cold Blast Coming?

So is this backing off just the models flip flopping again, or is this a definite trend now? I'll let you know if it's a trend in 2-3 days. For now, it's just a model run. Just looking at obs in NW Canada/NE Alaska, still no cold air there and pressures are below 1000mb in many areas. No massive hi...

Re: New Year's Eve Weather

The thunder is really booming now in the distance in NW Harris County. Keeping an eye on that activity in Ft Bend/Wharton Counties. It's been raining cats and dogs here in Ft Bend county for hours, if this keeps up we may have a flooding issue.

Re: November Weather Discussion. Thanksgiving Arctic Intrusi

I'll be doing that tomorrow, it's alot more fun hanging lights in cold weather and safer than being trampled by the black Friday shoppers. :) I avoid the mall on Black Friday. It is a madhouse. More interested in the weather anyways. ;) I hear that. :)

Re: November Weather Discussion. Thanksgiving Arctic Intrusi

Good mornig, and happy Thanksgiving to all members and your families. I live in Richmond just south of Sugarland what time should i expect the frontal passage. I'd say between 4-8 PM for your area. Perhaps a bit earlier if the near 30 mph S push continues. srainhoutx thanks for the info.
