Re: July: Watching Upper Low Track West Toward Texas

Needless to say, the threat of wildfires will keep increasing with each passing day with little to no rain.

I take it that the reason Southeast Texas did not receive any rain, or at least very little today, was due to arid air being siphoned into the region.

Interesting that the season has started off with a W-Gulf threat.
Could that be a precursor for this year's hurricane season, HurricaneJosh?

Re: June - Drier Weather & Eyes Turning To The Tropics

This may sound like a silly query, but are all of the wildfires that were burning in this state doused out via the recent rainfall?

Re: June - Light to Moderate Rain All Across Harris County!

Boy, all of that rain was a very welcome sight and alleviation. Have all of the wildfires been extinguished in Texas? I read that the wildfire nigh Katy has been. But, what of the wildfires north and northeast of Harris County? The temperature for today, so far, has not made it to the ninties, or th...

Re: June - 100s This Week, Rain Next Week??

I dread to think of the number of wildfires that would be occurring here in Texas if we do not get any rainfall until September or October. Another thing about those wildfires is that they could easily spread into another state for example: Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, or New Mexico particularly i...

Re: June - Back to Hot and Dry...

This drought is becoming more and more insane with each passing day. If the entire state of Texas does not receive any rainfall by next month, August, or September it could be curtains for more bushes and trees.
