Re: December 2020

Tropikal, Please watch how you phrase items. We have nonregulars ( and regulars) who come into our little world and want to see weather updates. This will be an event, ( as per the HGX NWS) and we must all be weather aware. To say statements such as " This is a non-event for Houston, just like...

Re: December 2020

You are absolutely wrong. Mesoscale discussions show its going to be a rough day for Houston starting later this morning. Meh, just your basic brief stormy weather that will clear on out later the afternoon/evening. Nothing real noteworthy. Stop trolling no u or better yet, educate yourself and tal...

Re: December 2020

Interesting they mention “drought”. Definitely no drought here. The ground is soaked here. There’s still even some standing water around from previous rains. December just was a lucky break for winter weather/rain lovers, since the La Nina was fake w/ an active Pacific storm track. But in due time,...

It doesn't when you're underside, then it becomes a Life Ridge 8-)

Re: December 2020

The crystal ball map on TWC has been showing that every month since September. Besides, warmer than average does not mean a 2-3 cold shot isn't possible during the course of a month. It was 75°F two days before the December 2017 5 inch snowfall in BCS. That map has already been proven wrong. ...

Re: December 2020

Serious wide spread heavy rain with the possibility of wintry precip on the backside with good cold air settling in. How does it feel to be wrong all the time? Meh. Most of the heavy rain will be to the north, while the snow chances are much farther northwest in Texas. So, it's all going according ...

Re: December 2020

The trajectory of the cold core is too far to the north. We need the cold core to take more of a southerly track, if we want to see snow here in southeast Texas. Saying that, i wouldn't state "like always" when Southeast Texas has seen plenty of wintry precip events over the last decade co...

Re: January 2021

Also, Waters are looking to be warming and we should be back to ENSO neutral pretty quickly. If a Niña background State takes hold, it won’t be until Spring/Summer.... which would be horrible, but I doubt it lasts long. However, I don’t really see that happening. Ninas are good for summer here, sin...

Re: December 2020

I have had a total of 6 inches of rainfall with just the last 2 cold fronts (not dry...lol) that came down. Today's front will have moisture with it and models are showing a good bit of moisture with the big front around the New Year. Also we are below average temp wise for the month of December be...

Re: December 2020

Did you just make that up to hear yourself talk? No, these are the trends that have been mentioned consistently by the weather analysts on Twitter. Long range forecasts as of now are showing solid fronts rolling down after the 1st of the year with some storm systems thrown in the mix. I'm liking it...

Yes, let the cold go east. Or better yet, stay locked up north where it belongs.

Re: December 2020

Meh, models always want to dig huge bowling balls and troughs in that California/Baja/Northwest Mexico region, regardless of whether it makes sense or not. It's overdone, it will just be a tease.
