Why is there a Hurricane Central sub forum if the hurricane thread is over here instead?

I see a tornado warning for a private service just issued for west of E. Bernard to east of Columbus. Not seeing anything on NWS and being such a broad area I'm guessing the private tor warns are closer to tor watches. It's for industry clients. But maybe an area to watch.
