Re: February 2021
Please pay attention to what is happening to our Northern brothers. I suspect Monday is going to look just like this down here. https://www.facebook.com/100000286180834/posts/4016511288368371/ I just saw that and shared it...horrible...hopefully people will take this stuff seriously. This video is ...

Re: January 2021
I will say this... I was in Atlanta for the mayhem that was Snowocolypse and all of the meteorologist there were certain based on models that nothing would happen. The snow started earlier in the day from transitioning from light rain. It started to stick once wet bulbing took over. It got heavier a...

Re: August 2020: Tracking The Busy Tropics
Galveston County Judge Mark Henry says the NHC told him it’s going East of Sabine Pass and they have at least medium confidence in this forecast.

Re: August 2020: Tracking The Busy Tropics
The cone of uncertainty is only 233 miles wide. One small swing one way or the other would have large implications. It's current wind field is 260 miles. I know that it can expand or decrease it's wind field as it strengthens.

Re: August 2020: Tracking The Busy Tropics
Someone asked earlier about storm shutters. I don’t know the right answer but my neighbor put almost all of his second floor shutters on today. I’m going to get mine out of the shed tomorrow and get them ready to possibly install on Tuesday.

Re: August 2020: Tracking The Busy Tropics
I’m wondering if you’re referring to what they recently showed on TWC. If so, Marco dancing around off shore of Texas isn’t even funny. I saw it on there and was like WTF is this!

Re: August 2020: Tracking The Busy Tropics
And you have this from Joe Bastardi: "From earlie tweet r NHC stronger with Marco. Interesting forecast as its hard to believe a storm in the height of the season over warmer than average water in the gulf, heading for favorable areas of the MJO, would weaken, If it stays compact, I dont think ...

Re: August 2020: Tracking The Busy Tropics
Don as an example is it losing strength at landfall. The NHC forecast for TD 14 has it losing strength over very warm water.

Re: August 2020: Tracking The Busy Tropics
I just don't see it weakening before landfall. This is rarely the case with any storm let alone one entering the GOM with bath tub temperature water. I could be totally wrong but maybe someone can point to an example of this.

Re: June 2020: Tracking TD Christabol
I cant think of a case where I've ever seen the dirty side being the west side. Thats got to be a rarity. There was a storm that hit Florida a year or two ago. It strengthened while over land which was odd too but I believe it had its strongest winds recorded in the 11 o’clock to 7 o’clock quadrants.

Re: January 2020: Severe Threat Friday/Tracking Cold Air Next Week
Sometimes you just have to throw the models out and go with your feelings. The amount of surface winds, moisture surging in off the gulf, and energy in the air tells me that someone in the Southeast Texas area is going to have a rough night. It’s just got that feeling outside

Re: OCTOBER 2018 - Tracking The Tropics/Fall Cold Front
I’ve been watching weather channel since last night. I was surprised to hear their “experts” say it wouldn’t strengthen anymore while pressures were still falling. Now Michael is stronger today and pressures are still dropping. It’s crazy’s to think that based on the wind chart above some structures...
